These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of BTC Crawl (btccrawl.com, the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The service
BTC Crawl is an informational website that aggregates publicly reported Bitcoin holdings of companies, governments, exchange-traded funds, miners, and other institutions, together with related charts, guides, and commentary. The Site is provided strictly for entertainment and educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, trading, legal, accounting, or tax advice; it is not a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset; and it must not be used as the basis for any investment decision. 2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its data feeds, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download Site content at a rate or scale that burdens the service, or republish substantial portions of the database without attribution and a link to the Site;
- misrepresent Site content — including presenting our figures without their verification status or source attribution — in a way that could mislead others;
- submit false or fabricated information through the corrections form, waitlist, or newsletter signup.
3. Content and intellectual property
The Site's compilation, curation, design, code, and original text are owned by BTC Crawl or its licensors. Underlying facts (for example, that a company disclosed a Bitcoin purchase in a regulatory filing) are public information; our verification statuses, notes, and editorial presentation are our own work. You may quote small portions of Site content with attribution and a link. Third-party trademarks and company names appearing on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
4. Third-party links and advertising
The Site links to third-party websites, including regulatory filings, investor-relations pages, and news sources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites. The Site may display advertising, including clearly labeled sponsored placements and ads served by third-party ad networks; advertisements are not endorsements, and any dealings you have with advertisers are solely between you and them.
5. No warranties
The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect, and the Site may be unavailable or change at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTC Crawl and its operators, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — including any trading or investment losses — arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, the total aggregate liability of BTC Crawl for all claims relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BTC Crawl and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site in violation of these Terms or of applicable law.
8. Changes to the Site and to these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also revise these Terms; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law and severability
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Site's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
