Privacy Policy

What information BTC Crawl collects, how it is used, and the choices you have — covering analytics, advertising, and the emails you submit.

Effective date: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information BTC Crawl (btccrawl.com, the "Site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is an informational service provided for entertainment and educational purposes only; we aim to collect as little personal information as the service needs.

Information we collect

  • Information you submit. If you join the alerts waitlist or newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. If you submit a correction, we collect the details you include in the form (such as a source URL, your note, and an optional contact address).
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our servers record standard technical data with each request — IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp — used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.
  • Analytics. When analytics are enabled, the Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Advertising. The Site may display ads through Google AdSense and clearly labeled direct sponsorships. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; see how Google uses ad cookies. Direct sponsor placements are served from our own database and do not set third-party cookies.

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or any special-category personal data, and the Site does not offer accounts or logins.

How we use information

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site (logs, aggregate analytics).
  • To send the alerts or newsletter you signed up for. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To review and respond to corrections you submit.
  • To measure and serve advertising, where enabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and your choices

Analytics and advertising cookies are set by Google services when those features are enabled. You can control them by:

Data sharing and retention

Personal information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the Site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, and advertising as described above), or when required by law. Waitlist and newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging. Correction submissions are kept as part of our editorial record.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights — including removal from the waitlist or newsletter — contact us through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page. See also our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
